What we are doing at Bayou
At The Bayou Companies, the safety of our employees, customers and our community is our top priority. Because of this, we are taking proactive measures to protect the health and safety of our employees and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our industry is part of a critical infrastructure to the United States, and Bayou provides an essential service to the nation and our communities, as defined in the President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America. These guidelines emphasize that those working in this industry have a special responsibility to maintain normal work schedules, and therefore with appropriate approvals we are continuing to operate our facilities in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Bayou has a team in place that is meeting regularly to monitor the situation and is keeping our employee’s safety and health as a top priority. As with many other companies, Bayou has stepped up activities to comply with COVID-19 best practices including deeper and more frequent cleanings facility-wide, employees washing their hands more frequently, and observing social distancing practices to maximize health and safety. Many of our staff that can work remotely have moved their offices to their homes and will continue to support all stakeholders as needed. We continue to closely monitor information from subject matter experts, including The Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization as we move forward.
To support our efforts in communicating with all of our stakeholders we have also implemented two actions:
- On this website, all stakeholders will be able to immediately access the latest information on our operations by area
- You can continue to reach out to your contact at Bayou for any questions or concerns you might have, but if you are unable to reach your contact for any reason you may email us at COVID19@bayoucompanies.com and someone will return your email as quickly as possible.
We wish you the best health in these difficult times.
