Concrete Weight Coating (CWC) is a plant applied coating which is used to provide negative buoyance for offshore pipelines or for river or road crossing applications. Concrete weight coating is applied to a pre-determined thickness utilizing a calculated mixture of cement, iron ore and wire wrap.

Bayou's Concrete Coating system is used in conjunction with other coating systems such as Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating. Bayou can also offer integrated anode installation into our process to maintain the integrity of the cathodic protection system.

Applying concrete to pipe, especially large diameter pipe, can mandate some pretty creative handling and logistics situations. Many projects demand that we utilize our mobile concrete application facility and apply the concrete coating in close proximity to the lay site. Other projects demand for us to be creative in other ways.
